The department has modernized and well-equipped laboratory in the fields of Computer Software, Information Technology, Image processing, Multimedia, Computer Hardware, Microprocessor and Digital Electronics. The computer laboratory consists of 115 Systems with Pentium-IV processors. The N.I College campus is well equipped with 800 computers and interconnected with Wide Area Networking of 128Kbps speed earth station with round the clock accessing. The existing campus network we have setup the Video Conferencing facility. We have installed IBM AS 400e Mainframe Server and IBM RS 6000 Internet MAIL SERVER with all the Latest software. Operating system environments are MS-DOS, NOVELL NETWARE, SCO-UNIX, LINUX, WINDOWS 98, WINDOWS-NT. Softwares available include all the latest visuals, SIBASE, POWER BUILDER and ORACLE. A good number of peripherals like Color Scanner, Color Plotter, Laser Printer, Ink Jet Printer and Multimedia kits are also available.The Association of Computer Science and Engineering (ACSE) conducts various events like seminars, workshops, quiz competitions etc., to familiarize the students with the latest developments in the field of Computer Science.
