The Department of Management Studies was established during 1994-’95, with the mission of developing socially responsible, globally competent, disciplined managers. The development contributes to the growth of national development and quality of life through quality management education. Its quest is to prepare managers with professional competency, outstanding leadership qualities, personal integrity, sensitivity to ethical issues empathy for the weak and less privileged.The department has eminently qualified and experienced faculty representing all major streams of management disciplines. The electric blend of faculty academicians, researchers and professionals drawn from different areas of the corporate sector enrich our students to be competent professionals in the making and to meet managerial challenges in a dynamic and fiercely competitive environment. The visiting and guest faculty comprising of eminent professionals, career diplomats and academicians with rich and varied experiences and expertise from the industry/ government sector further enrich the quality of our students.

           The Noorul Islam College of Engineering is now affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The present pedagogy is up-to-date with the conventional lecture using various teaching aids, case discussions, role play, seminars, experimental learning, video session, workshops, group discussions, management games, syndicates, field trips, assignments, Industrial training and the entire 4^th semester is devoted for project work. The active NICEMAN ASSOCIATION organizes various functions and activities including national level paper presentation, workshops year after year. The department is publishing a “Management Message” bi-annual newsletter consistently. The department is rated as high by the recent survey conducted by Business India-AIMA. The registered entrepreneurship guidance cell, functioning as a part of the department extends services to Engineering students too. Grants have been sanctioned by TNSCST for the projects carried out by our students in the year 2001 and 2002. The Department has a research base and awaiting for the approval from Anna university for setting up a Research Center. Campus Interview is arranged year after year and our students are selected by reputed organizations for appointment.
